This project is located in the urban-rural integration demonstration zone of Zhumadian City, Henan Province. The base is adjacent to the north side of Kaiyuan Avenue to the south and Wufengshan Avenue to the east. The site has a flat terrain, convenient transportation, and a wide view. The land for the first phase of the project is irregularly polygonal, with a length of about 487 meters from north to south and a width of about 575 meters from east to west. The total construction area of this project is 123513.03 square meters, including an above ground construction area of 116572.93 square meters and a basement construction area of 6940.10 square meters. The plot ratio is 0.50. There are 1-3 floors above ground and 1 floor underground, with a maximum height of 26m for the building. The architectural inspiration comes from the “seeds” and “wheat waves” of agriculture, with a circular equilateral triangle shape, resembling a plump “seed in the sky”. The center is a courtyard. The exhibition space is located on the east and west sides and at the top of the triangle, while the landing hall, conference and performance center, facing the main square on the south side, are located. The structure of this project is complex and the design difficulty is high. The maximum span of a single exhibition hall truss is 72m, and the maximum overhang of the east and west facades is 24m. It can provide over 8800 square meters of ultra large indoor display space without columns. The architectural facade design is inspired by “Mailang” and adopts a non-linear aluminum tube metal curtain wall system. The overall design is very dynamic and lively.
There are a total of 4 large exhibition halls, 2 medium exhibition halls, 1 perennial exhibition hall, a login hall, a theater, and 1 2000 square meter banquet hall each. The entire venue can provide more than 3000 international standard exhibition booths, and is equipped with multifunctional conference rooms, banquet halls, theaters, etc., integrating exhibitions, conferences, banquets, and performing arts.
This project has successively won the 2020 Zhongzhou Cup High Quality Project, the National Steel Structure High Quality Engineering Gold Award, the Provincial Excellent Survey and Design Plan First Prize, the Design Second Prize, and the 2021 READ Excellent Design Silver Award.
This project has a novel design and strong recognizability. It is the first international, standardized, and intelligent large-scale exhibition center in China with the theme of agricultural product display and trading. After the completion of the project, it has become the most eye-catching landmark building in Zhumadian City and one of the main exhibition venues in Henan Province.
