Sébastien Maleville is a French industrial designer, educator, and creative leader with an international career spanning Europe, China, and Southeast Asia. Trained in Paris, he brings over 15 years of global experience in product, brand, and design strategy. In 2024, he co-founded Essential Studio, where he currently serves as Creative Director, developing sustainable and meaningful design solutions for clients across Southeast Asia.

From 2014 to 2024, Sébastien Maleville was the Creative Director and Branch Manager at Jacob Jensen Design, where he led the establishment of the studio’s teams in China and Thailand. His work has earned multiple international design awards, including Red Dot, iF, and G Mark. Deeply committed to education, he has lectured in industrial and branding design at King Mongkut University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) since 2016 and frequently speaks at design events across the region. His approach blends strategic thinking with lasting aesthetic impact, shaping design cultures across borders.
