Li Xiang, who obtained her degree in Architecture from Birmingham City University in the United Kingdom, founded X+Living Architecture and Interior Design in 2011 before expanding into interior design. She has since produced a wide range of landmark projects across commercial real estate, culture, retail, hospitality, and family entertainment. With a unique sensitivity to art and culture, Li Xiang crafts emotionally charged environments that offer sensory refuge for the public, while giving the brands she collaborates with a strong, design-driven identity.
Her work has earned global recognition, with over a hundred design awards, including honours from the Prix Versailles, the German Iconic Design Awards, and Forbes’s Designers with the Most Potential. She has served as a jury member for prestigious competitions such as the Dezeen Awards, Frame Awards, and A’ Design Awards. In 2020, she was the only Chinese designer named in Fast Company’s “Most Creative People in Business”, and in 2021 she became the only Chinese designer selected for PMI’s Future 50.
Recently, Li Xiang was honoured as part of Vogue Living’s Women in Design and celebrated the release of her first monograph, Bookverse, showcasing her visionary approach to immersive, narrative-driven spatial design.
