About the project

This Taichung residence embodies a design philosophy where warmth meets the poetry of light collection. The design team establishes an earth-toned spatial narrative through architectural finishes and built-in elements, creating a contemporary minimalist framework infused with natural humanistic essence that transforms dwelling into an elevated sensory experience.

The public zone employs barrier-free open planning, allowing living, dining, and kitchen areas to form one continuous life domain. Floor-to-ceiling glazing systems maximize natural light penetration, while multi-layered ceiling architecture incorporates recessed LED strip lighting, generating soft indirect illumination that adds dimensional depth. The TV wall features expansive pale stone cladding with embedded linear lighting, creating visual levitation through the interplay of solid mass and luminous elements.

Storage functions are seamlessly integrated behind clean facades, while wooden display niches maintain visual rhythm. The open kitchen utilizes light wood-toned cabinetry with floating upper cabinets and integrated lighting strips that illuminate work surfaces while serving as decorative luminous elements.

The material palette orchestrates natural textures throughout: light wood finishes dominate flooring systems and architectural millwork, establishing warmth and authenticity. Marble applications contribute refined textural contrast, while stone cladding with natural veining becomes artistic expression within minimal compositions. Each material is precisely calibrated to create cohesive spatial harmony.

Through natural material authenticity, nuanced earth-tone coordination, and masterful light manipulation, this residence successfully interprets "less is more" philosophy—proving that exceptional residential design can elevate daily living into poetry, where every spatial gesture deserves thoughtful consideration.
