Dr. Ulvi Erhan Erol is a landscape designer, ecological planner, and academic whose work connects landscape architecture, sustainability, and interdisciplinary design. With more than three decades of experience spanning professional practice, research, and international collaboration, Ulvi Erhan Erol focuses on ecological landscape design, sustainable urban environments, architecture–landscape integration, and nature-based solutions. He holds a Ph.D. from Istanbul University and a Master of Landscape Architecture from Louisiana State University in the United States. He is also the founder of UEE Design & Planning Landscape Architecture International.
As an Associate Professor at Süleyman Demirel University’s Faculty of Architecture, Ulvi Erhan Erol combines academic research with extensive expertise in landscape planning and design. He has also been an international member of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) since 2010. In 2026, he was elected a Full Member of Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Honor Society, an international multidisciplinary community dedicated to excellence in scientific research.
Ulvi Erhan Erol has substantial experience in international design evaluation. He has served on the jury of the A’ Design Award & Competition in Como, Italy, across multiple editions since 2018, as well as the Arch Design Award in Helsinki in 2026–2027. Through his work on international architecture and design juries, he has evaluated more than 17,000 projects to date. His academic and professional work reflects a sustained engagement with environmentally responsive approaches to landscape architecture and urban design.
