Eleni Stefania Kalapoda is a New York-based architect and urban designer whose work integrates sustainable design, computational methods, Artificial Intelligence, and emerging technologies. An AIA Associate, LEED Green Associate, and ENV SP, Eleni Stefania Kalapoda is a Columbia GSAPP graduate and founder of Embedded Climates Design Group, an international practice focused on creating more efficient, intelligent, and sustainable buildings and cities.
With over six years of international experience, Eleni Stefania Kalapoda has collaborated with leading global practices including Foster + Partners, Kengo Kuma, Renzo Piano, Bernard Tschumi, and Perkins Eastman. Her experience encompasses major civic and cultural institutions, aviation hubs, entertainment and recreation destinations, stadiums, and resilient masterplans, including projects such as the Ellinikon Riviera Galleria and the Acropolis Museum.
Eleni Stefania Kalapoda has served as a juror for the EUROPE40UNDER40 Architecture Awards, WAN Awards, FRAME Awards, RIBA Awards, TheStadiumBusiness Design & Development Awards, anotHERVIEWture Award, and Malcolm Lewis IMPACT Award. She has also contributed as a subject-matter expert to the Autodesk Advisory Council, USGBC LEED v5 Technical Advisory Group, and IEEE WIE Forum USA East.
