Hanjun Kim is an architectural designer and educator based in London whose work explores the intersection of architecture, computation, and emerging technologies. He is an Associate at SoomeenHahm Design Ltd. and a Course Tutor in the Architectural Association Design Research Laboratory (AADRL) Master’s programme. Hanjun Kim holds a Master’s degree from AADRL and a Bachelor’s degree from Hongik University.
Alongside professional practice, Hanjun Kim maintains an active role in architectural education. He coordinates the AA Visiting School Seoul and has taught courses, workshops, and seminars at institutions including Oxford Brookes University, London South Bank University, Hongik University, and Seoul National University. He also leads computational seminars at UCL Bartlett B-Pro in London.
Hanjun Kim’s work focuses on computational and generative design and the ways interaction with technology can influence spatial perception and architectural experience. His recent explorations incorporate Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Reality, extending across digital art, coding and AI-generated concepts as well as furniture, interior, architectural, and urban design.
