Echoing the glory days of XinZhuang Port on the Dahan River, when countless sails filled the horizon and lights from a thousand homes shimmered on the water, this project pays tribute to a golden chapter in its glorious history. Our studio draws inspiration from the romance of maritime voyages, weaving the spirit of lanterns, decks, and oars into every corner of the space.
In the Nautical Chart Lobby, a carpet unfurls like a treasure map, inviting you to a serendipitous encounter.
Behind the reception desk, a feature wall themed on “ballast stones” is inlaid with flowing lights.
Above, lens-like sculptures reminiscent of Renaissance explorers hang in midair, their curious gaze brimming with anticipation for the journey ahead.
Towering, symmetrical cultural book walls rise like a forest of sails, framing a café that recalls the feel of an open deck. Here, amber-gold light drapes across the space like fine brocade, blending classical grace with modern sophistication.
Warm orange glows, modeled after shrimp-fishing lamps, are meticulously forged in metal, layered like sheer fabric to create an artful chandelier that becomes the focal point of the room, a symbol of abundance and harvest.
The coffee bar evokes the fertile riverside soil shaped by centuries of water’s flow, while also suggesting oars gliding through the city’s glittering night. A grand mosaic installation captures the breeze billowing through sails. Reflecting on the harbor’s former glory, the waves dance lightly as the years unfold in quiet beauty.
