In a city like Hefei, which combines innovative dynamics with cultural heritage, we set out to design a “floating health and fitness club as our design proposition, responding to the dialogue between architecture and the land. Using the interior space as a medium, we translate the traditional wisdom of elevated structures into a contemporary narrative life – constructing a modern language system about lightness, transparency and coexistence with nature through space.
“We take ‘floating’ as the soul, not detaching from land, but embracing nature in another posture. Let the space have both the artistic conception of oriental aesthetics and the comfort of modern life. This is not only a design practice, also a contemporary interpretation of the spiritual core of the city of Hefei.
We draw inspiration from the traditional Chinese garden-making wisdom – the winding corridor, the suspended pilion, and the permeation of scenery, all of which embody a kind of “living high above the ground and conversing with nature” oriental philosophy.
Inher the curved aesthetics of architectural art, the entrance is designed with a streamlined texture stone service desk, and the background wall is inlaid with luxurious stone elements, forming a dialogue in high space.
