Hybridized Machine received Gold Winner recognition at the International Architecture & Design Awards 2026 in Futuristic & Innovative Concepts. Project status, design team and credits are listed alongside the presentation.

About the project

This is and exploration of the aesthetics of the machine, abandoning the discussion of the common functions of the machine. Hybridizing the air conditioning system, elevator chassis and transformer from a purely aesthetic point of view.

Through the organization of different components, a rhythmic hybrid machine is formed, and the centripetal but asymmetrical organization makes it obtain a good visual experience from three perspectives.

At the same time, we pursue the ultimate detail, including the zigzag alignment of
the pipeline and the complex interweaving of the coils as well as the use of mesh
structures. They work together to balance the visual beauty.

In 2024, this work is being published in AD The Allegorical Architectural Machine
