The Prism House — IADA 2025 award

About the project

Prism House is our harmonious architectural response to the environment, a monolithic concrete prism that emerges from the earth... When entering this habitable space, a sacred connection is created between the human being and nature and at the same time a harmony like a haven of peace, tranquility and security.

We seek to disconnect from the city lights, the noise of cars, visual pollution and connect with the nature that the place offers us.

The concept/idea arises from the history of the place, with the American Navitve communities of the desert, how they lived in their traditional adobe houses or in caves.

Starting from a rectangular prism, we developed the zoning of the areas with a horizontal and functional concept. The construction system of the house is RSG 3-D panel, a very energy-efficient system based on concrete and foam panels, special for extreme climates. The energy we consume in this house comes from the solar panel system.
