Villa Horizon is conceived as a monumental, horizontal gesture embedded within the landscape. Defined by clear geometry and compositional discipline, the residence establishes a strong presence along the horizon, shaping its own context rather than adapting to it.

The client envisioned a residence offering spatial freedom, privacy, and tranquillity — a home with a distinct structure, directly connected to panoramic views and organised through a clear functional layout. The project explores the balance between mass and lightness, treating architecture as a controlled composition where proportion, sequence, and horizontality define the spatial experience.

The residence is organised across two levels. The lower, stone base anchors the building to the terrain and integrates an indoor swimming pool positioned along the main compositional axis. The upper level, conceived as a suspended pavilion, accommodates the primary living spaces and opens towards expansive panoramic views.

This dual composition — a solid stone base and a hovering pavilion — creates a dynamic relationship between weight and lightness. The lower level consolidates recreational and technical functions, while the upper level maximises visual openness, extending the living areas towards the horizon.

Interiors are designed as calm, expansive environments shaped by light and proportion. Long visual axes and spatial continuity enhance a sense of balance and stillness, reinforcing the architectural clarity of the project.

Currently in the design development phase, the project focuses on material precision, the integration of structural systems with the pool, and the relationship between the architectural form and the surrounding landscape.

Villa Horizon is defined by the horizon itself — balancing solidity and openness, mass and transparency. It operates as a coherent and disciplined spatial system rooted in clarity and intent.

EKLEKT ATELIER

Eklekt is an internationally awarded design studio drawing inspiration from diverse contexts to create distinctive interiors, architecture, and landscapes. For over 15 years, the studio has been based in Kraków, transforming ideas into spaces that inspire and endure over time, while its presence in Athens broadens both perspective and reach.

The studio designs environments that are as dynamic, flexible, and layered as the people who inhabit them. Its approach combines bold conceptual thinking with careful realisation, developed in close collaboration with clients. Eklekt seeks to move beyond convention, shaping spatial experiences that extend beyond visual impact.

The practice is driven by a vision of architecture that remains connected to its context and becomes part of everyday life. Working at the intersection of multiple disciplines, the team brings together curiosity, precision, and a strong sense of purpose to deliver meaningful and enduring design solutions.
