The Waldhotelpark transforms a historically significant site in Vaduz into a vibrant, ecologically valuable, and socially welcoming landscape. It honors the legacy of the former Waldhotel, which was known for its forest baths and lush gardens, by reintroducing native plants, including endangered species and creating valuable habitats for pollinators and wildlife. The preservation of old trees provides natural shade and biodiversity while offering a peaceful environment for visitors. The park is designed as an inclusive and multifunctional space, featuring shaded seating areas, barbecue spots, open meadows, and an accessible network of paths for walking and recreation. The historic Waldhotel cellar has been restored and reimagined as an inviting gathering place to strengthen the connection to the site’s history.

PVLA AG

PVLA evolved from the landscape architecture practice founded by Peter Vogt in 2015. We work in open space design, planning and landscape planning. We design, plan and support projects in both public and private spaces and are also active in research. Our focus is on designing squares, parks, courtyards, gardens, and mobility spaces, with over 15 years of experience in Liechtenstein, Switzerland and abroad. Using our mobile landscape lab, we plan projects on site – “Think global, plan local” – allowing us to engage closely with each location. We value understanding and analyzing a site’s history, developing projects from concept to realization and continuing support through maintenance management after completion.
