The 5 Ceramics of Italy 2025 Tile Trends That Are Shaping Interiors

Ceramics of Italy presented its Spring-Summer 2025 Tile Trend Report at Coverings 2025 in Orlando. The report groups new Italian ceramic and porcelain tile collections into five trends, from colour and craft to light effects and sculptural cladding. Below is each trend with the collections and brands named for it.

1. Kaleidoscope of Color

Colour is chosen to set a mood: terracotta red, sunny yellow, Mediterranean blue, sage green and dusty pink. Italian brands use bold colour blocking and full-room “colour drenching”, in which a whole space is wrapped in one tone from floor to ceiling.

  • Forever Color by CIR Ceramiche
  • Palette by Flaviker
  • Porcelain Stoneware in Tropical and Aloe by FAP Ceramiche
  • Sinfonia by Ceramica Bardelli
  • Colovers+ in Love Avio by Supergres
  • Look Tiles in Turchese Glossy and Turchese Struttura 3B
  • Yubi Glossy by RAGNO

2. Anthroform: tiles with soul

Anthroform is about heritage and handcraft. Tile makers work with designers and with materials taken from the land, and reinterpret traditional materials and cultural motifs in a contemporary way.

  • OLTRENERO by Mirago
  • Flicker by Decoratori Bassanesi
  • Bioterre by Del Conca
  • MOTIF by Leonardo Ceramics
  • Poetry Stone Reloaded and Alterego Milk by ABK

3. Art Deco Revival

Art Deco returns with strong geometry, rich finishes and a vintage feel updated for today, from checkerboard layouts to monochrome patterns.

  • 14 Ora Italiana by ABK
  • Terrae by Casalgrande Padana
  • Sensoria by Del Conca
  • Majestic by LaFenice
  • Glazed porcelain tiles by Verde1999

4. Lightscape: playing with glow

These collections are designed around how light falls on a surface. Glazes and textures catch and reflect light, so a wall or floor changes through the day as the sun moves and the lighting changes.

  • Manufatti by Faetano
  • Pottery Stone Reloaded by ABK
  • Tele di Marmo Lumia by Emilceramica

5. Surface cladding goes sculptural

Tile moves beyond floors and walls onto vanities, kitchen islands, facades, retail interiors and furniture, as Italian brands test new uses for the material.

  • Still by FAP Ceramiche
  • Immensa by Ceramiche Coem
  • Miniature Rima in Indigo and Brina by Marca Corona
  • Travertino Wall by RAGNO
  • Matera Stone in Beige Sassi and White Sassi by Ergon

Using the trends at home

In general, colour drenching and sculptural cladding have the most impact in small, defined spaces such as a powder room, a shower or a kitchen island, while light-reflecting glazes work best where daylight moves across the wall during the day.
