At the intersection of contemporary design and traditional Vietnamese aesthetics, this villa is a masterful fusion of the old and the new. The modern architecture is complemented by design elements inspired by the cultural heritage of the region, creating a harmonious balance that speaks to the soul.
Emerging from the harsh yet beautiful landscape of Mang Den town in Kon Tum, Vietnam, “Timeless Villa” is a new 3250 square foot house designed by An Nam. The formation of the landscape informed the exterior design while the interiors were designed with a modern nature style, creating a refuge to recover, rest, reflect and re-energize before heading out on the next adventure.
The property is part of a high altitude plateau 4000 feet above sea level with pine forests and wild Himalayan cherry blossom in the winter. This area would be flat without the volcanoes that break from the horizontal landscape dramatically towards the sky.
Designing a modern villa in a woodland environment presents a unique opportunity for architects to create a stunning, timeless, and sustainable home. By combining modern design principles with respect for the environment, An Nam architects created a villa that is both beautiful and functional. “Timeless villa” comes from a design concept that is intended to be timeless. It is a house that no matter how long the flow of time passes, how trends may change, it will always remain beautiful.
Mang Den town is renowned for its cool climate and breathtaking natural beauty, making it an idyllic destination for nature enthusiasts. The design of this house is mainly based on Mang Den weather conditions, so we chose a gable roof. The house emphasizes minimalism with black, white, grey, and wood work. No matter how many years have passed, this house is still classic.
The house is composed of two volumes. The directions of the landscape have determined the orientation of these volumes. One volume houses the bedroom, bathrooms, living room and follows the lines of the landscape, the other volume houses the stair area. With its spacious, well-lit interior, designed using natural materials, guests are welcomed into an environment that promotes comfort and relaxation. Large windows offer breathtaking views of the surrounding woodland, forging an unbreakable bond between the villa and nature.
Our architects created a stunning and timeless masterpiece in a woodland masterpiece that is both beautiful and sustainable. Whether you are looking for a retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city or a permanent home in a woodland environment, this house will provide you with a beautiful, functional, and environmentally responsible home for generations to come.
