We exhibited vivo’s two new models, X Flip and X Fold 2, with two super giant foldable screens 8 meters high and nearly 12 meters long. The two screens presented digital content and adopted advanced technologies, including radar tracking and motion capturing, to interact with the public and lighting up the Bund with art and technology.
Interacting with the cute pet on the screens
We transformed the image of cat on vivo’s cute pet cat wallpaper from 2D to 3D. The cat jumped back and forth in two foldable giant screens, creating interaction between the two screens. With high sensitivity radar, the cat could capture the location of visitors and interact with them freely. Sometimes, the cat would lick paw, scratch ears, extend paws, or yawn to engage in random playful interactions with the audience.
Swimming jellyfish created a surreal AR vision of the Bunda
The screen for X Fold 2 was right in front of the Oriental Pearl Tower. On the screen was a naked-eye 3D picture shoot from the same location. The AR scene and the real world at the Bund were connected seamlessly. As a group of jellyfish gently swim through the buildings, a surreal world emerged in front of the public.
Particles made the Bund scenery into a poem
Colorful particles converged to present the prosperous scenery of Pudong along the ever-flowing Huangpu River. Shimmering particles turned the Bund into a starry river. Colorful particles formed into the shape of jellyfish, echoing the surreal AR Bund in the second part, piling up fascinating fantasy pictures by PIC.
Our studio created a future of rigidity contrastively coupled with flexibility, where the new technology was flexibly interwoven with the nature to form an interconnected symbiotic and dynamic system.
Myriads of changes in the palm
On the jumbo screen were hands of a man and woman in 3D visual, which changed gestures and triggered each other to conjure different objects. It seemed a humorous and dramatic magical pantomime.
N forms of symbol X
X symbol was faintly embossed beneath fabrics of diverse textures. After the fabrics were removed, it was the show time for X symbol. In the urban landscape-like depth space formed by X, X was in constant change, and two phones were presented on the screen in the form of naked-eye 3D.
