The Whizdom The Forestias project in Bangkok, designed by dwp, redefines the concept of urban living within a natural setting. Completed in 2024, the project encompasses two mid-range condominium buildings and a unique pet-friendly building, totaling 5,000 square meters of innovative living space. These buildings are connected by a variety of shared facilities designed to enhance lifestyle, including a gym, onsen, sauna, library, children’s area, co-working space, and an expansive garden.
Responding to a brief for a pet-friendly and connected living environment, dwp’s design philosophy, “City of the Forest,” draws directly from the natural surroundings slightly off central Bangkok. The design uniquely integrates urban living with nature, establishing a pioneering model for pet-friendly environments near a major city. The use of materials certified by LEED and WELL plays a crucial role in aligning the architectural ethos with sustainability and user-friendly design, further emphasizing comfort for both human and animal residents.
The design team faced and overcame significant challenges, including adhering to stringent sustainability and pet-friendly criteria which influenced every design decision, from spatial planning to material selection.
