The International Architecture & Design Awards (IADA), organised by the Architecture & Design Community (ADC), has announced the winners of its landmark fifth edition. Bringing together entries from 53 countries, IADA 2026 became the strongest and most internationally diverse edition since the awards were established.
The 2026 edition reflected the rapid evolution of architecture and design. For the first time, IAD Awards introduced dedicated AI categories, acknowledging the growing role of artificial intelligence as a creative tool and expanding the competition to new forms of innovation.
According to the international jury, this year’s submissions reached an exceptionally high standard across every discipline. Remarkable creativity, technical skill, and originality made the evaluation process more demanding than ever. Student projects were among the biggest surprises, impressing the jury with their confidence, innovative thinking, and level of professional execution.
Sustainability remained one of the defining themes of IADA 2026. Many winning projects demonstrated how thoughtful design can respond to environmental challenges through responsible material choices, adaptive reuse, energy-conscious solutions, and human-centred thinking.
Together, these projects demonstrate that today’s ideas have the potential to create a more thoughtful, sustainable, and inspiring world tomorrow.
