Born in Ecuador, Jaime Anders Marin has firmly established himself as a prominent young Architect with over 12 years under his belt. His diverse portfolio ranges from high-end residential and commercial spaces to cultural, retail, restaurant, and hospitality design. This extensive work hasn’t gone unnoticed; he’s garnered significant awards in both Ecuador and across South America. Jaime’s reputation as one of Ecuador’s top upcoming Architects is further solidified by his association with esteemed architecture organizations globally and his roles on jury boards for various architectural design awards and festivals. His notable ventures in the hospitality sector span across establishments such as The Bunad Hotel, Hotel M, White Velvet Hotel, Kennedy Gardens Hotel, Quinta Estuario Beach Hotel, and The Kitchen Restaurant, all set against the picturesque backdrop of Ecuador. Not limiting his prowess to just one country, he also designed the Loft Boutique Coffee Company in Lima, Peru. He was distinguished as one of Ecuador’s Top Ten Architects in 2015, bagged the 1st Place in Clave Magazine Architecture Annual Special Issue the same year, and was awarded the Gold Medal from UIDE for the Architecture Biennale of Quito in 2008. Additionally, Jaime secured 1st Place for Best Architecture Design multiple times, with notable recognitions from the City of Esmeraldas in 2014 and the School of Architecture UIDE in 2007 and 2005. He also achieved acknowledgment for the Best Thesis Project by UIDE in the 2007-2008 academic year. Currently, Jaime is orchestrating designs from his offices situated in Cumbaya, Ecuador, and more recently, Laguna Beach, CA. He’s deeply involved in three upcoming hospitality projects: the Sua Beach Royale Resort, The Container Hostel, and The Domu Hotel, all promising to be landmarks in Ecuador.
