The historic Chistye Prudy House offers a unique developmental space for children, featuring an outdoor playground and an indoor playroom. It is designed to support the harmonious growth of young residents, based on modern advances in psychology and education.

The children’s space is divided into different zones, allowing for a balance between active play and quiet activities. There are also areas where kids can stay alone and spaces to spend time with their peers. Every child can find something that suits their personality and mood. The zones include the following: creativity and exploration, active and adventure games, and experimentation and physical activity. A variety of natural materials help develop kinesthetic senses, imagination, thinking, and attention.

Nature and its organic shades were chosen as the unifying theme for both the playground and playroom. The lush greenery of the inner garden courtyard seems to penetrate the playground and the historical building itself. The selected colors and materials not only complement each other but also harmonize with the surrounding architecture.

The playground is designed on two levels. Using the unheated section of the historic pavilion — currently being carefully restored and housing the indoor playroom — children can descend to the outdoor playground via a pipe or climbing tunnel. The playground is fully equipped for open-air play and creativity, including sand and sound games, a slide, nest swing, climbing terrain, and many more. These diverse play scenarios develop kids’ vision, hearing, touch, balance, and other essential skills.

The playground is located within a gated, guarded area without cars, allowing children to play independently while remaining supervised.

The indoor playroom is located in a renovated 19th-century building. It is connected to the outdoor playground, enabling expanded play scenarios. The only entrance to the playroom is also through the playground. The room is equipped with a wide range of play items — from a ball pit and climbing structures to board games and creative tools.

The room features child-safe windows that cannot be opened by children, allowing them to be left safely on their own.

The playroom can also be reserved for events such as birthday parties, making it easy to host a celebration without taking over your home. There are comfortable spaces for parents to relax while their children play.
