Furnished by an acclaimed interior design firm, this 3,670-square-foot residence at the striking NYC condominium tower above MoMA – featuring architecture by Pritzker Prize-winner Jean Nouvel and interiors by Thierry Despont – offers three bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms, a windowed study and expansive north, east- and west-facing exposures. The home combines beautiful Central Park views with soothing tones and gentle curves to create a warm and inviting space, almost like a bird’s nest in a tree.

By layering each room with a mix of vintage, new and custom elements, the designer created multi-dimensional spaces that feel soulful and like they’ve been curated over time while still fitting within the residence’s sculptural interior architecture. The home features a neutral palette paired with interesting textures like grasscloth, alpaca, wools and silks alongside rich wood details resulting in soft, sumptuous interiors. Standout pieces include a custom Thierry Despont coffee table in mahogany and bronze, a custom grand travertine ovoid dining table paired with grey flannel upholstered dining chairs and a Le Corbusier lounge chair upholstered in an unexpected terry fabric. The home showcases a museum-worthy collection of 34 original artworks from 12 countries sourced by Creative Art Partners.

Lined on three sides with floor-to-ceiling windows boasting east-, west-, and north-facing views of Central Park, the generous, sun-drenched living room is the heart of this art-filled home. The designer framed each window within the residence with soft ripple drapes that draw your eye to the one-of-a-kind views.

Wrapped in silver Sunlit Silk wallpaper and illuminated by the glow of a tiered gold-leafed curved iron disk chandelier, the proper entry gallery gives way to the open-concept living room. Visible from the entry is a beautiful vignette the designer created where the dining area and living space converge with a pair of upholstered Studio van Den Akker Charles Club Chairs.

Set against a breathtaking west-facing view, the dining area is anchored by a pair of raw brass petal chandeliers and accented with an ebonized Ethnicraft buffet cabinet that adds richness and contrast. Unifying the open-concept dining and entertainment spaces, the designer added perimeter lighting to create a soft upward glow for a welcoming ambiance at night.

The seating area is graced with a gallery wall featuring original pieces by world-class artists. The designer furnished this space with a streamlined linen sofa flanked by Holly Hunt Peso side tables with added porcelain tops and striking forged iron table lamps. An iconic Le Corbusier lounge chair is situated in front of the window, while a pair of custom-designed blush velvet chairs with soft modern lines juxtapose simple custom iron and leather stools.

A minimalist calcite chandelier hangs in the center of the primary bedroom over the custom walnut and basket weave fabric bed designed by Thierry Despont. To either side are Kelly Wearstler Lemaire alabaster and brass table lamps. A pair of plush Mid-century lounge chairs upholstered in green velvet add depth and complement the neutral tones of the Toretti Basket Woven wallpaper and heathered gray handwoven wool rug.
