Overport Park is a local sports precinct in Frankston South, Victoria, Australia. Located on the Mornington Peninsula, this area caters for a variety of users. These include dog walkers, cricket and football enthusiasts.

We were engaged by the Frankston City Council as the lead contractor to consult with the community and provide design and construction services for a Bike Park that complemented the master plan and renewal of the precinct.

This Bike Park design was tailored to beginner, intermediate and advanced riders, with the addition of multiple lines side by side. This provides the opportunity for transfer lines, skill development, ongoing rider progression and enjoyment. This was the a requirement and findings throughout the consultation period.

We designed and included a variety of interesting features, from a beginner level pump track to large jumps that will see participants flying freely through the air. We also integrated landscaping and native trees to provide a natural user experience that is sought after in these type of spaces.

We used specialist and hard wearing base courses for both the pump track and jump section for reduced maintenance and protection from weather conditions.
