The feature element of this house are the delicately patterned metal screens which adorn the building facade on the second storey. Electronically controlled, the screens serve both decorative and practical functions – deflecting the western sun and aiding privacy while wrapping the house in a protective skin. The panels form unique facade configurations that can be programmed to suit the house requirements for screening at different times of the day. Oak ceiling panels add depth and contrast to the metal screens, and are used on the gate elements as well.

A sense of arrival is crafted by the experience of walking on a series of stepping stones past a lap pool and water feature. Upon entry, the grand double volume living space is accentuated by an assortment of pendant lights. On the second floor, a man-cave comprising of a pool table and games area overlooks the living spaces below. The bedrooms are apportioned on this storey, with a large master suite and home office on the attic.

On the interiors, natural oak in similar patterns are designed for panels and screens, with travertine marble flooring and upholstery panelling for a warm, minimalist decor.
