ABOUT
T HOUSE is a single-level residence with a laconic and functional design, ideal for a family of five. With a total area of 460 m², the house is situated on a 15-acre plot, in close proximity to the forest.
The house follows an atrium-type layout. On the right side is the sleeping area, while on the left side is the common space, which includes the living room, kitchen, and dining area. The most spectacular part is in the inner courtyard, where we have arranged a terrace with a swimming pool, a summer house with a sauna, and a lounge area with a barbecue.
The building was oriented according to sunlight exposure: the sleeping area benefits from morning light, while the living and kitchen areas receive natural light from noon until sunset.
To emphasize spatial dynamics, we played with interior heights: the sleeping area has a height of 2.7 m, while the common spaces reach 4.5 m, enhancing the sense of openness and brightness.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY
In the construction of the facades, we have implemented modern principles of energy efficiency:
High-performance wooden/aluminum windows and doors;
External mounting of windows, integrated within the thickness of the exterior insulation layer;
Thermal insulation of facades with 150 mm of mineral/basalt wool.
The technical systems were designed to optimize energy consumption:
Heating is provided by a geothermal heat pump, supplemented by solar panels;
Excess heat is used to warm the pool during transitional seasons;
Ventilation is ensured by a heat recovery system;
Air conditioning and precise temperature regulation are managed by duct-type climate units mounted under the ceiling.

ARCHITECTURAL CHALLENGES
A complex architectural-conceptual element was the realization of the pergola-type roof. The total surface is 65 m², with a maximum span of 7.7 meters. Its structure is supported solely by the main building and the summer house, without columns, requiring advanced structural calculations. Additionally, challenges related to thermal bridges and aesthetic integration into the ventilated facade were successfully addressed.

MATERIALITY AND DESIGN
The facades are finished with ceramic granite panels, while vertical gutters are hidden behind the ventilated facade and equipped with a de-icing system.
In private house design, our approach is integrated, “turnkey,” including architecture, exterior landscaping, and interior design. In the case of T HOUSE, the architectural concept was extended to the interior, using the same materials and tones to create a coherent ensemble.
In the final stage, the client wanted to highlight the living and kitchen areas. Our solution: all wall surfaces and furniture elements were painted black, creating a strong contrast with the rest of the house’s finishes, accentuating the elegance and depth of the space.
