The KTC Business Centre, located within the United Business Centre II Building in Bangkok, Thailand, is a standout example of modern design and functionality, covering 960 square meters and completed in October 2023. This project was conceived to serve as an elite hub for KTC partners and guests, facilitating meetings, activities, and PR events with added elegance through the provision of drinks and snacks.
Reflecting KTC’s core values of smart simplicity, courage, and meaningful interactions, the design concept dubbed “THE ATMOSPHERE” embodies the essence of a smart city under one sky, designed to enrich every visitor’s experience with a sense of shared space and innovation. The design philosophy integrates modern and simple aesthetics with warmth and comfort while maintaining functional lifestyle elements through integrated layers.
A key highlight of the KTC Business Centre is its central bar area, intentionally designed to be the centerpiece where materials and designs intersect to create a ‘wow’ effect. This signature element features overlapping layers with unique materials like Tropical Storm marble, copper ceilings, reclaimed wood, fluted glass, and custom chandeliers, all adding a touch of luxury and embodying innovative design.
Sound-absorbing materials in the meeting rooms enhance the practicality and usability of the space, ensuring it remains conducive for its intended purposes. The choice of materials not only emphasises the luxurious feel but also addresses sustainability, with the use of reclaimed wood breathing new life into old wood and enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the floor.
Despite significant challenges such as incorporating modern designs into an older building and dealing with intricate curved corners and MEP during the renovation, the project team succeeded in delivering a space that meets the functional needs of its users while elevating the KTC brand image, making the Business Centre a landmark of modern design and sustainability in Bangkok.
Overall, the KTC Business Centre is a testament to innovative design thinking and prowess, seamlessly blending aesthetics, functionality, and environmental consideration to create a welcoming and impressive environment for all its guests.
