The original building was opened in 1962. It was constructed on a green meadow between the village and the TOS factory and during the 60´s there was a square with residential houses built in front of the cultural house. The community center has been implemented in a moderate socialist realism style following a project documentation drawn under the leadership of architect Antonín Krasický.

The concept of the reconstruction preserves the as well as the composition
of the functional masses. The mass facing the square is raised by an extra floor aligning the roof to one level, from which only the original fly system mass protrudes. The higher front part of the building clearly defines the space of the square and thus the construction levels with the height of the residential houses in the neighbourhood.

The operational and layout solution builds upon the original concept keeping a clear orientation inside the building. The main entrance from the square opens to the three-storey foyer and from there gives an access further to all facilities dedicated to the public: a cafe, a club, a small hall, a restaurant, a large hall with a gallery and a ceremonial hall. In the back part of the house there is a parent center and facilities for performers. The basement is used as a background for a cultural center and technical rooms.

The construction carrier system is preserved. The front mass extension is masonry with ceilings built with steel beams and trapezoidal sheets, when the roofing of the large hall is made of prestressed steel-reinforced concrete panels. There are new steel-reinforced concrete staircases in the foyer and ribbed ceiling above the ground foyer, a copy of the original one.

The facade of the building consists of a glass cladding while the rest of the facades are lined with thermal insulation boards. Windows, doors, floors, acoustic tiles as well as the interior equipment are new. All technical equipment and installations including stage lighting, audio-video equipment, air-conditioning and heating system are modernized, with the cascade of heat plums serving as the heat source.
