International Architecture & Design Awards (IADA) 2027
The International Architecture & Design Awards (IADA) recognise built and conceptual architecture from every region of the world. IADA 2027 is open to architects, studios, developers and students, and every entry is evaluated by an independent international jury. This page gathers what you need to decide whether an architecture award from IADA fits your project: the architecture nominations, the IADA 2027 fees and deadlines, how projects are judged and examples of recent winners.
Why enter an architecture award?
An architecture award gives a project a documented, third-party recognition that architects can reference in proposals, on their website and in communication with clients. At IADA, each winning project receives its own published winner page with the project description, images, design team and credits. Winners also find their certificates, winner logos and graphic materials in their participant account, and a physical trophy can be ordered separately; it is optional.
IADA is organised by Architecture & Design Community (ADC), operated by Digital Art Group sp. z o.o. in Kraków, Poland, and has been running since 2019. Across all disciplines, IADA 2027 lists 19 disciplines and 640 nominations; architecture is the largest field.

The Architecture discipline includes 32 nominations. Choose the nomination that matches the principal use of your building or its main architectural contribution. If a second nomination also fits, you can add it during registration or later while registration remains open; each additional nomination is paid separately.

Built projects and concepts
IADA accepts both completed buildings and unbuilt concepts, and the project status is shown on each winner page. Among the 2026 Platinum winners in architecture you will find completed public infrastructure as well as a museum design presented as a concept. Participants enter as professionals or as students; students receive a 50% discount on entry fees.
IADA 2027 fees and deadlines
The entry fee depends on the registration period. The fee for the first project includes one nomination; each additional nomination for the same project costs less.

How architecture projects are judged
Each member of the jury evaluates every project in its nomination against three criteria:
- Innovation & Originality: the strength and freshness of the architectural idea.
- Design & Aesthetic Quality: composition, materials, detailing and the overall quality of the design.
- Functionality & Spatial Integration: how the building works for its users and relates to its site and context.
The jury scores each entry against these published criteria and the scores are averaged. The highest-ranked projects receive Platinum, Gold, Silver or Bronze awards, and Honourable Mentions may also be given. Meet the architects, designers and educators on the IADA jury page.

Preparing a strong architecture entry
The jury sees your project only through your presentation, so treat it as the argument for your building. Open with the idea: what problem the project solves and what makes the architectural response distinctive. Then show the evidence. A site plan and a section often explain a building faster than a render, and a few carefully chosen photographs of the spaces in use communicate atmosphere and quality of execution.
- Explain the context: site, climate, brief and constraints.
- Show how the design works: plans, sections and circulation, not only exterior views.
- Make materials and details visible, especially where they carry the concept.
- State the project status honestly (built or concept) and credit the full design team.

How to enter IADA 2027 in four steps
- Create your participant account. Registration and submission are managed in your account.
- Register your project and pay the entry fee. Choose your architecture nomination and any additional nominations.

- Submit before 12 April 2027. Winners are announced on 14 May 2027.

Can I enter an unbuilt architecture project?
Yes. IADA accepts both built projects and concepts. Select the project status that accurately describes your work when you register.
Can one building be entered in more than one nomination?
Yes. The first nomination is included in the project entry fee; each additional nomination is paid separately. Choose only nominations that your presentation supports.
How much does it cost to enter IADA 2027?
In the current Early Bird period, until 13 November 2026, the first project costs $140 and each additional nomination $90. Fees increase with each registration period (see the fee table). Students receive a 50% discount.
Who judges the architecture entries?
An independent international jury of architects, designers and educators. Each member scores projects against three published criteria, and the scores are averaged. See the IADA jury.
