A selection of Ketley’s Vision Bricks
The design potential of architectural clay products has never been more exciting or inspiring! Recent advances in digital imaging, new mould and die technology and 3D printing have enabled us to launch our new Vision Brick brand, which revolutionises the design possibilities of Ketley’s traditional bricks, brick slips, pavers, quarry tiles and landscaping products.
In addition to their much-sought-after ‘Class A’ engineering brick strength and durability and their natural kiln-fired Staffordshire clay colours, Ketley’s Vision Bricks can offer an almost limitless choice of sizes, shapes, and textures. Bespoke solutions can be extruded (in straight or curved shapes), embossed, pressed or etched with bespoke patterns that can be created digitally to meet your design vision!
A selection of Ketley’s etched surface designs
Etched surface designs
Imagine having any design of your choice etched onto the clay surface, from classic Victorian and art nouveau to intricate company logos that reinforce corporate identity. Using the latest laser technology, Ketley bricks, brick slips, and quarry tiles can be permanently decorated with any bespoke pattern. The scope of this technology is truly inspiring, making the production of innovative designs in large or small quantities cost-effective.
Moss tiles and Planter bricks
Biophilic designs that embrace nature
Moss Tiles (designed by Poppy Pippin) and Ketley’s Planter bricks bring biodiversity into urban spaces and help reduce outdoor air pollution. At just 215mm wide Planter bricks fit neatly onto the tops of walls as a versatile and durable way of introducing plant life into small garden areas or larger urban spaces, contributing to Biodiversity Net Gain. They can be combined to create different configurations, and as they are made from ‘Class A’ standard engineering brick, they combine immense durability, frost resistance and low water absorption with their natural clay aesthetic.
Ketley’s wavy bricks for Southern Housing Group
Bespoke shapes and designs
Ketley has refined brick extrusion and pressing technology to produce a whole host of special-shaped bricks. Extruded wavy bricks (in a standard 215 x 102.5 x 65mm size) can be laid together to form a curved profile that produces different light and shadow effects and an eye-catching wavy texture. Their ‘Class A’ F2-rated performance makes them ideal for projecting brickwork and elaborate facades exposed to the elements.

Embossed and pressed surfaces
Ketley’s capability to produce bespoke embossed patterns and pressed shapes can transform a standard façade into imaginative textured surfaces whose interesting shapes play with light and shade. Logos and corporate wording can also be embossed to specific requirements.
Textured brickwork extension by Mulroy Architects
The design potential of standard bricks!
Exciting façade designs do not necessarily require bespoke shapes and sizes. This dramatic textured brickwork by Mulroy Architects repurposed standard Ketley Staffordshire blue plinth specials to create a decorative gothic pattern that brings shadow and texture to this residential extension.

Ketley can produce even more complex designs, patterns, images, and logos in relief on the surface of brick facades through a set of five different pyramidal-shaped projecting Brixel brick elements. These standard bricks are configured digitally with a Brixel 3D imaging tool and constructed without costly, bespoke manufacturing.
