FastClad 25 years of real clay brick slip cladding – ADC

Saw Swee Hock Centre by O’Donnell + Tuomey Architects

FastClad has been at the forefront of lightweight brick slip systems for more than 25 years, utilising real bricks to supply facades, which are indistinguishable from traditionally laid brick masonry, allowing light weight construction to sit alongside hand-set masonry with no visible difference.

Developing and refining our products over this period means that FastClad is the only bonded system on the market which has a BBA-assessed 60-year minimum service life, along with FastClad-A2, which has an A-certified reaction to fire.

All of the panels arrive on site on site ready for mechanical fix, with the slips having been pre-bonded in our Leicestershire factory – in accordance with our audited Factory Production Plan – for site pointing with any colour lime mortar.

A versatile option

FastClad is a versatile option suitable for projects, ranging from modular housing to multi-storey apartments, and is certified for use on soffits. It enables designers to add a ‘wow-factor’ to their projects, and practical solutions for lightweight construction, such as the soffits and chimney casings on the LSE’s Saw Swee Hock Student Centre in the heart of London.

High impact areas

Due to their BBA-assessed performance certifications, FastClad products are also ideal for busy, highly trafficked areas where the risk of impacts is high. Our portfolio includes shopping centres and public transport projects where the public has little incentive to exercise care; a concern that our clients often raise during the design stage of their projects.

A problem-solving approach

FastClad can solve many of the problems designers may have, whether it is an issue of cantilevered weight on a balcony, a soffit, access to the area to be built, or brickwork features on a floor slab with limited structural loading capacity. We have the engineering experience to help you from design through to site installation. We offer installer training at our Leicester factory as well as site toolbox talks and site inspections to give your client the confidence that their façade will offer a lifelong solution.
